We
are still waiting for Oasis of the Seas to be finished, but from
the company of Royal Caribbean Cruises, announced that the sister-ship
of the giant entered into ship-yard. And this is Allure of the Seas.
The cruise ship will be completed in 2010 and the maiden voyage
date is expected from the company. The vessel will have length of
360.00 meters and beam of 47.00 meters. Allure of the Seas will
be among the largest and most beautiful ships of the world and definitely
will impress hundreds of visitors when launched. The ship was ordered
in Turku Shipyard in Finland. The yard is newly built, high quality
and very modern and will give a great building for the cruise shipping.
The cruise ships of Royal Caribbean are well known all over the
world, because this is the largest company with capacity for carrying
more than 60,000 passengers. Allure of the Seas will have capacity
of 5,400 passengers, who will be served by 1,800 crew members. The
deadweight of the ship will be 220,000 metric tons, same as the
Oasis of the Seas one, while the gross tonnage will be about 120,000
gross tons. Allure of the Seas will be real pearl in Oasis Class
Cruise Ships of the company
of Royal Caribbean Cruises, but its launching will be in a shadow
of the big brother – Oasis of the Seas.
Actually the cruise ship Allure of the Seas will be
quite more luxury by her sister. The vessel will have the price
of 1.2 billion USD and will have 16 passenger decks. The vessel
will have height of 65.00 meters and draft of 9.00 meters, when
fully loaded. The cruise ship will be driven by six main engines
Wartsila with total power of 97,000 kW. This will give ability for
the ship to reach maximum speed of 22.1 knots, while the cruising
(operational speed) will be 20.2 knots. The propulsion system will
be Asea Brown Boveri Azipod with total power of 3 x 20 MW. This
is quite large power installed on board of this ship, and the size
which it takes is quite large. Many of the critics, claim that this
project will not be successfully completed, but builders and owners
are sure that “Project Genesis”, as the cruise ships
from Oasis Class are called, will open new page in the book of cruise
shipping and building. The ship Allure of the Seas will have large
number of entertainments, great parks and everything, which you
may imagine. The pools, sunbathing places and sport facilities will
bring real comfort for the guests, while the spa centers, boutiques
and beauty salons will be the point of the ladies boarded for one
