 The
cruise ship Artemis is with long history, but even too old and not
so big, the vessel got her place in the heart of most known cruise
ships. The ship is owned and operated by P&O Cruises, which
is company owning some of the highest qualited ships and offers
really amazing cruises around the world. The cruise ship is now
known as smallest in the fleet of P&O Cruises. The ship has
long history, because was built in 1985 in the ship-yard of Wartsila,
Helsinki New Shipyard in Finland, which is really one of the best
yeard of the world. the ship was ordered in the ship-yard from Princess
Cruises and was named MS Royal Princess. The cruise ship was operating
long time for the
company, but in 2005 was sold to another fast developing shipping
operator, which actually is P&O Cruises and then was called
Artemis. The frst voyage of the ship when building was named by
the princess of Wales - Diana. The ship was then registered in London
in United Kingdom, but when sold to P&O Cruises, the port of
registry was transfered to Hamilton, Bermuda. But everything is
just history and not talking too much about cruise ship and cruises,
which she will offer. Cruise ship Artemis has length of 230.61 meters,
which is equals to 756.59 feet and beam of 29.60 meters, or 97.11
feet. The cruise ship has draught of 7.80 meters (or 25.59 feet)
and these measurements are giving to the vessel deadweight of 44,348
metric tons. The number of passenger decks on board are 8 and they
are restricting the cruise ship's capacity to 1,260 passengers,
who will be served by 537 crew members. The ship is really spaceful,
in spite of small measurements, in comparison with the largest cruise
vessels  of
the company P&O Cruises. Such vessel needs of strong engine,
and the builders had decided to install really amazing engines.
The main engines are four Wartsila-Pielstick 6PC4-2, with full power
of 23,200 kW. This is enough for the vessel to reach maximum speed
of 22.5 knots, but the cruising speed is a little bit lower - 22
knots.
The
cruise ship Artemis will also offer to you really large number of
entertainments. The cruise ship has 594 passenger cabins, which
will host the all guests number. The ship is really amazing and
