Amsterdam is cruise ship, which is the newest project of the well
known European company Holland America Line, having more than 80
years in cruise shipping. The cruise ship was ordered in Fincantieri
Marghera shipyard in Italy, and is planned to be finished in 2010.
Nieuw Amsterdam will be the next from the fleets of luxury cruise
ships of the company Holland America Line and is expected to be
pride of the company. Nieuw Amsterdam is from the Signature Class
Cruise Ships, with its measurements of 285.00 meters length and
32.20 meters. The cruise ship will have gross tonnage of 86,700
gross tons, which will give capacity for 2,044 passengers. The all
guests will be situated on 11 passenger decks and will be served
with highest quality from 929 crew members. The main engine of the
vessel Nieuw Amsterdam will be six 64 MW MaK M43C diesel engines
with Azipod propulsion. The cruise ship will be sister ship of the
well known Eurodam, sailing more than 2 years for the fleet of Holland
America Line. The cruise ships will consecrate the leadership of
the company in Europe and will prove that luxury cruises can be
made not only in Caribbean. The predicted service speed of the vessel
Nieuw Amsterdam will be 23.9 knots, while the maximum speed will
be more than 25 knots. The cruise ship will  offer
great luxury, very beautiful atmosphere for holiday of all guests
and the most important is that will visit the most beautiful places
in Europe.
Nieuw
Amsterdam will offer great voyages for all guests. The cruise ship
will have 11 decks and about 970 cabins for the passengers on board.
The builders and owners of the vessel promise that more than 67%
from the all guests’ staterooms will have balconies, and 95%
will have nice seaview. This is due to great technology and placement
of the cabins along the hull. The ship is really modern and very
good in first sight. Nieuw Amsterdam will be the oasis of the dirty
and tired days of the guests, who want to spend their holidays on
board. From Holland America Line promised great moments on board
and a lot of entertainments. The luxury Asian Restaurant will meet
the guests in 5 star luxury saloon, which will offer places for
350 passengers. Even more luxury will be the Culinary Art Center,
where guests will meet dishes from all over the world and will taste
the most delicious food. The traditional Explorations Cafe, where
the latest newspaper of New York Times can be found, will be opened
on board too. And this is only the beginning, because on board of
Nieuw Amsterdam will not miss spa centers, beauty salons, fitness
hall, sport facilities, pools, shops, boutiques, lounges and disco-clubs.
