 Oceanic
is cruise ship with long history and many passengers carried around
the oceans. The ship was built in 1965 and last refurbished in 1988.
Of course we know that Pullmantur Cruises are well known as low
cost cruise line, which is offering comfort to the guests, without
luxuries and in pretty simple atmosphere. The ship Oceanic has length
of 238.35 meters, which is equals to 728 feet. The gross tonnage
of the ship is 38,772 gross tons and the passenger capacity is 1,132
people, who are divided into 569 rooms. The ship is quite good for
the class of Pullmantur Cruises and the age, which she has. The
ship was serving guests of the famous cruise lines Home Lines and
Premier Cruises, before joining to the fleet of Pullmantur. In
all cases, this ship is carrying large history and knows the secrets
of many guests. The vessel has good quality service and also large
number of public entertainments. The ship Oceanic is not so small
with the measurements she has, but has low number of cabins for
the crew and passengers. A lot of free space left, were used for
entertainment and public places, which will attract the visitors
during cruises. Of course this ship is far away from the largest
and most luxury cruise ships of the world, but pretty good for low
cost cruises.
The cruise ship Oceanic was designed by Charalambos
Keusseoglou, who was the vice president of Home Lines in the years
of building. With Greek ship-owner and designer the vessel was designed
with optimal and lower quality, and lower price. The ship was designed
as a two class liner on the North Atlantic and also to be one class
cruise ship to the Caribbean and the Bahamas. Of course the ship-yard
of Cantieri Riuniti  del
Adriatico, required higher restrictions for creating the vessel,
so the first project was dramatically changed to the looking, which
now the vessel has. This was the main reason such ship, like Oceanic
to be sailing more than 40 years till today. The ship has 569 rooms,
which are divided into several categories, by interior, living area
and sea view. Of course on the top decks are situated the most expensive
and most luxury staterooms with large living area of about 70 square
meters and own verandahs. These rooms are made for richer people,
who prefer spending their vacation on board of cruise ship Oceanic,
in spite of her age.
