    NSS Honesty
NSS Honesty  The ore carrier NSS Honesty was built in the year 2007 from the ship-builder Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. The vessel has an overall length of 327 meters and length between perpediculars of 313 meters. So many people may wonder what I mean by length between perpediculars and why it is used. In dependence of the ships construction, bow form and design of the buld, every ship has a diferent angle of attack of the bow to the water. So this means that overall length of some ships can be same, but the cargo space to be different. That is the main reason to be used fore perpendicular and aft perpendicular. They are calculating the length of the vessel, cargo space, ship's stability and many important components from the ships science. The breadth of the ship NSS Honesty is 52 meters in the middle, which is the largest breadth of the vessel...

The vessel is alittle bit smaller that the giant Berge Stahl, but not so small, because it is second largest bulk carrier owned by Bergesen d.y. ASA and one of the largest vessels of the world. The deadweight of Bergeland is 322,941 metric tons, the length is 338 meters and the width is 55 meters. The ore carrier has a draught of 23 meters.     Cape Unity
Cape Unity  And when we are talking about new “super-bulkers” (this phrase will become very useful, after fast developing of bulk carriers) we should not pass without paying attention to the vessel Cape Unity, which is also one large bulk carrier, with deadweight of 181,180 metric tons and gross tonnage of 90,092 metric tons. The large ship, with such measurements is always very interesting for watching and the cargo capacity for Cape Unity can be calculated to 199,724 cubic meters. The length of the ship Cape Unity is 288.93 meters and the beam of the ship is 45 meters. The draft of the ship is 18.17 meters. The ship is designed to carry ore, coal and all other bulk cargoes except grain. The vessel has a very interesting structure of the cargo holds, and this is the main feature of this ship. The cargo holds have difference in length and in this way difference in capacity...

    Owari Maru
Owari Maru  The large bulk carriers are interesting in engineer point of view in all the times. The newly built vessel Owari Maru is one bulk carrier with definitely very interesting structure and outlooking. The vessel is designed to carry ore, which is very heavy product and situates the center of weight very low and the rolling of the vessel will be a serious problem for her safety and for condition of the crew while sailing through the oceans. The deadweight of the vessel 229,013 metric tons and the gross tonnage of the vessel is 113,928 metric tons. The measurements of the whole ship are pretty big. The overall length of Owari Maru is 319.58 meters and the length between perpendiculars is 308 meters. The beam of the vessel is 54 meters and draught is 24.3 meters. The draft, when Owari Maru is fully loaded is 18.12 meters...
