Jazan  One container ship, which is not so well known, but created according to latest requirements of IMO, MARPOL and SOLAS is Jazan. The ship was built in Hyundai Heavy Industries in 2008 and on the namic ceremony in Ulsan, South Korea on 25th July, 2008 was given to the ship-owner United Arab Shipping Company. The ship is registered in Dammam, Saudi Arabia under IMO number 9349540. The capacity of the container ship Jazan is 6,919 TEU, in IMO statistic and the company is operating with the same requirements. The overall length of the vessel is 306.00 meters, while the length between perpendiculars is 301.10 meters. The beam of the container ship is 42.50 meters and depth is 24.50 meters. When the ship Jazan is fully loaded the draft is 14.00 meters. These Jazan Shipmeasurements are quite big, but not like the largest container ships of the world. The deadweight of Jazan is 85,463 metric tons and the gross tonnage is 75,597 gross tons. The ship was built according to all requirements of the company and Imo, with engine MAN B&W, which can give enough power for the ship to realize cruising speed of 24.9 knots. The maximum speed of the container ship Jazan is 25.5 knots, which is high speed even for container ship.
  The ship is resigned with new, improved shape of the propeller, which increase the power given from the main engine to the vessel. The environmental requirements of MARPOL are fulfilled from this ship, which is important theme for discussion last years. The container ship is sailing on regular routes between Asia and Europe in the cargo-river.
