Kohzan Maru V  The ship-owner JSMC Panama S.A. got it new chemical tanker, in October, 2007. The vessel got the namer Kohzan Maru V, and is part of the fleet of the famoust Panama company. The vessel was built in the shipyard of Shin Kurushima Dock-yard Co. Ltd. The vessel is designed with double hull construction, which is very useful against leakeges and water polution, while transporting these dangerous cargoes. The ship has a deadweight of 37,784 metric tons and gross tonnage of 25,184 metric tons. This is very large chemical tanker, because almost all of such vessels are build with deadweight less than 15,000 metric tons. The length of Kohzan Maru V is 182.03 meters, the beam is 28.20 meters, draught is 18.20 meters and the draft, while the vessel is fully loaded is 11.32 meters. This ship is very high technology and very useful for the sip-owner, which will operate with it. The vessel has a large cargo space in, definitely not so large measurements.This ship needs strong engine to produce enough energy for sailing and creating of innert gas, to fill the cargo free spaces. The main engine is MAN B&W 6UEC50LS II. The engine is designed from the new generation to reduce the consumption of fuel and the negative in ecology point of view CO2 emissions are decreased to minimum. The power that it gives to the propulsion system is about 8,730kW x 112.0rpm. Pretty big power for such vessel.
  The cargo system of Kohzan Maru V is also well innovated. The loading of cargo can practically be made by 10 points. Theoretically there is only one restriction for cargo operations and this is number of manifolds. This is not just right, but I think that even loading from 3-5 points is very useful for the vessel. You should imagine, what will be the capacity of loading system, and what will be the speed of loading. the vessel is very nice and in very good consition. The maximum speed, which Kohzan Maru Vcan reach is 14.9 knots. The chemical tanker is operation in the Pasific ocean, among the coasts of USA, Japane, Panama, Australia, China and India.This is one very beautiful and useful ship, which
is made in Asia to be profitable and ecological.
