     Stolt Achievement

Stolt Achievement   Stolt Achievement is vessel designed to carry the most dangerous cargo of the world and this it chemicals. The dangerous cargo is verry interesting for carrying because vessel should not be large and should not be so good designed, than to be secure. Some cargos are very expenssive and even 2 liters difference in the quantity may be very big problem for the crew. And when we are talking about ship with lenght of 177 m, a breadht of 31.2m and a draft of 15.6 m the things are going harder. Stolt Achievement has na deadweight of 37,000 mt and a displacement of 49,907 mt. The gross registered tonnage is 25,196 mt and the net registered tonnage is of 12,048 mt.

Vessel is very interesting with its looking and with its Stolt Achievement portcontrucion. We cannot talk about beautiful white vessel, but we can talk about engineering interesting construction. The cargo pumps are Frame and the tanks have a capacity of 41799 liters and the number of tanks is 54, which means that this veesel has a 54 manifolds and it is a little bit hard to opperate with them. The main engine of the vessel should give enought power to all the equipment of the vessel and to give enough speed to it. The main engine is Sulzer 6RTA48T, MCR with power of 8,281 kW at 124 rpm. This main engine gives a cruise speed of the vessel Stolt Achievement of nearly 17 knots and the maximum speed is about 19 knots. This is very much for such chemical tanker with so dangerous cargo on board, but the vessel is very easy to maneuver.
