     Stolt Concept

Stolt Concept  Stolt Concept is one chemical tanker property of the famous company Stolt and operated by Stolt Tankers BV. This vessel is one of the very high qualited and very large tankers, which are property of the company. Stolt Concept has a deadweight of 37,236 metric tons, which is too large value for one chemical tanker. The vessel has gross tonnage of 24,495 metric tons and net tonnage of 11,919 metric tons. Stolt Concept is very high qualited, very useful and profitable for the ship-owner because it carries the highest class A, for chemical products carrying. This means that this vessel will be able to carry almost all type of cargos. The vessel is not so new, but very good in outlooking and in designer view. It was built in 1999 in ship-yard of Danyard, which is very high rated and very useful ship-yard. It is the one, which is prefered mostly from good companies like Stolt. The length of the vessel is 176.75 meters and the beam is 31 meters. The vessel has a depth of 15 meters and draft of 9.36 meters, when the vessel is fully loaded. These measurements are giving to the vessel free space for maneuvering in the ports, and give no restriction in draft and beam about it, in sailing. The vessel can use Kiel Canal, Suez Canal and all other ways, which you may even think about.
Stolt Concept Maneuvering
Stolt Concept has a Norwegian ship-owner, but is sailing under the flag of Cayman Islands, because of the lower taxes and lower requirements about ship’s condition. In spite of this fact the vessel is certified by Germanishe Lloyd and IMO, and these certifications are repeated every year, in spite of the ship’s condition. This is very important for such vessel, transporting so dangerous cargoes and sailing close to the coast. Such kind of vessel has its safety requirements, and this ship is filling them on the maximum. The vessel is constructed with double hull, double bottom and the ballast tanks are situated of the upper corners of the tanks. This gives enough safety to the vessel, because even after some damage, the ship will not do any pollutiîn. The cargo system is also very good designed, fast and reliable. Stolt Concept can be loaded from 34 points theoretically, because this is the number of tanks, and this ship can carry 34 different cargoes. Practically only 2-3 points can be loaded in one time, because the restriction is mostly because of the harbor mechanisms. The unloading is other thing. While unloading the ship is using its own cargo pumps, and then it can discharge cargo from maximum 3 points, which is not so bad, when you made so calculations. The vessel can reach the maximum speed of 16.9 knots, and the economy cruising speed is about 14.6 knots.
